I don't get how consecutive numbers can be odd or even. Because the definition of a consecutive integer is basically multiple numbers that differ by 1, so I don't see how it can be odd or even.How can three consecutive numbers be odd or even?

They simply mean odd numbers that are consecutive, minus the evens. Like 1, 3, and 7.
