How do you add complex numbers on a TI 83 Calculator Plus?

I need to be able to add, divide, sub, mult. Plus go back and forth to polar and rectangular systems on the calculator. How do I enter in Polar complex numbers???How do you add complex numbers on a TI 83 Calculator Plus?
Rectangular form is easy 8.66 + 5 [2nd] [i].

But entering complex numbers in polar form is a little bit akward because you have to enter the angle in radians.

So to enter 10 鈭?30掳.

10 [2nd] [e^x] 30 * [2nd] [蟺] / 180 [2nd] [i] )

[e^x] is at row 2 column 1.

[i] is row 1 column 3 (the decimal character)

This can be made easier by storing the complex conversion in memory. Useful if you will do this a lot.

[2nd] [蟺] / 180 [2nd] [i] [STO] [ALPHA] J

J is row 5 column 2 (the comma character)

Now [ALPHA] J will do the conversion.

10 [2nd] [e^x] 30 [ALPHA] J )How do you add complex numbers on a TI 83 Calculator Plus?
Use the mode button. In the menu there will be a choice of ';Real';, ';a+bi'; and ';re^(i胃)';. You can enter the i by hitting 2nd and decimal point. If you enter a number in a+bi form, then go to mode and enter the polar form, go back to the main screen, and hit enter, you will get the polar form. And viceversa.
