I found a website once that explained it all but I can't find it anymore. Anyway, my ring says AU 585. I know AU is the chem symbol for gold, but what is the 585?Can someone explain what the numbers on the inside of rings mean?
Pure gold is 24 carat gold.
750 gold is 18 carat.
* 585 is 14 carat.
375 is 9 caratCan someone explain what the numbers on the inside of rings mean?
it is normally a tracking number that suggest where you bought it from, it may not be the exact location, but it is the corporation that prouced it. it is an anti theft thing thatr can track it to where it was purchased in the case that it was stolen.
