How do you make whole numbers fractions?

I don't get it i'm in 5Th grade math and i forot how to!How do you make whole numbers fractions?
Put a one under it...

for example 3 = 3/1How do you make whole numbers fractions?
You make the number over 1

example:

4= 4/1
A whole number is just a number over 1

so 4 is 4/1

if you have a mixed number then you can make it into a fraction by this method

4 1/2 is (4x2+1)/2

that is (8+1)/2 = 9/2

and 4 2/3 is (4x3+2)/3

that is 12+2/3 =14/3

and so on so what you are doing is changing the whole number to a fraction by multiplying the value by the denominator of the fraction then adding that value to the original fraction
Put it over a denominator of one.

Ex.) 3 = 3/1

57 = 57/1
put the number over the denominator of 1.
you put a 1 under it! (for example 5=5/1)
DON't Worry

This is all you have to do!

You would just put a one under it....for example see the example below

4

1 This number still is four, but with a one for a denominator
