What are the possible values for the first of the two numbers?

The sum of two numbers is greater than or equal to 26. The second number is more than the first. What are the possible values for the first of the two numbers? What are the possible values for the first of the two numbers?
Assume we're sticking with cardinal numbers (positive integers). Let the two numbers be A and B. Then

A + B %26gt;= 26 and

B %26gt; A.

Subtracting the second from the first gives

A %26gt;= 26 - A

2A %26gt;= 26

A %26gt;= 13.

If A is 13, then B is 13. but A had to be greater, so A is 14 or greater.

This means A can be 14, 15, 16, 17 etc. up through 25.
