How to change page numbers in word 2007 individually?


How do I change the page number on my word document individually???


Whenever I try to change it, ALL the numbers change as well!





For instance, I'm sending my resume and the first page is a cover letter so I want page 1 to start on the following page which is my actual resume.





But, the only thing I can do is make it diff from the first page which forces the second page to begin page 2.

I don't have W2007, but here's what I'd do.





I'd save two copies of the file, one called 'cover letter' and one called 'resume.'





Open the one called cover letter and delete all the text, then save it.

At the bottom of page 1, insert a sectio break. In the header on page 2, unlink it (unclick ';same as prevous';). Put the page number on page 2 (header or footer, wherever you're putting it) and format it to start at 1.
